UPMC is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant/PA or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner/CRNP) to join our Student Health team at Lock Haven University. This role offers a unique outpatient-focused experience delivering care to a college student population, with a blend of in-person visits and virtual support for students at Mansfield and Bloomsburg Universities.

Schedule & Work-Life Balance
- Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- No nights, weekends, or holiday requirements
- Work schedule aligns with the academic calendar year
- No coverage when students are not in session (Summer, Winter-break, Spring-break, etc.)
- Predictable, consistent schedule in an outpatient setting
- This is considered a Part-time/Nonexempt position with access to UPMC's Regular Part-time benefits
- Blend of In-person care: Lock Haven University, and Virtual visits: Mansfield & Bloomsburg University students

What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive outpatient care to college students, including evaluation and treatment of acute and episodic conditions
- Conduct virtual visits for students located at Mansfield and Bloomsburg Universities
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans using evidence-based practice
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate
- Educate patients on health maintenance, wellness, and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Knowledge of growth and development principles
- Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan
- Ability to assess patient data and deliver care per departmental policies
- Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina and dexterity required for direct patient care
- Successful attainment and maintenance of hospital privileges, where applicable.
Licensure, Education, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
- Physician Assistant (PA)
- Graduation from an ARC‑PA–accredited Physician Assistant program
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred
- Pennsylvania PA license and NCCPA certification
- Required for All APP Candidates
- CPR certification
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
